3D Measurement Machine Series
As a tube bender manufacturer performing bending of metal tubes, Opton has conducted a variety of technological development and equipment development and sales. In recent years, the need has increased to measure whether processed tubes are finished within drawing tolerances. To respond to that need, Opton independently has developed and sells 3D measurement machines.

Tube Forma
A fully automatic 3D measurement machine capable of full-surface measurement of three-dimensionally bent tubes placed on a table. If the tube is placed within the measurement range, inspection of shape errors is possible in a short time regardless of the number of bends.
It has a box-type structure from whose top (ceiling) 2 to 10 3D scanners are suspended, compares the 3D shape measurement data of the tube installed on the table with pre-input 3D design data as bending processing data (feeding, twisting, bending), and feeds back the difference as a processing correction amount to the pipe bender, where automatic shape correction of the tube processing is performed on the tube bender side.

Collaborative Robo-Forma
Collaborative Robo-Forma
By using the collaborative robot’s direct teaching function, inspection of shape differences is possible in a short time.
By manually moving the handle of the robot’s 3D scanner part and pressing the positioning button, measurement and teaching operations using the direct teaching function can be performed. Even without skilled workers, skill-free teaching operations become possible. Compared to teaching work using a teaching box for robot programming, it achieves a significant reduction in workload.
Repeat automatic measurement is also possible. Like the Tube Forma, automatic feedback correction to the pipe bender is possible, and 3D measurement of shapes other than bent tubes is also possible.

The configuration is the same as the Collaborative Roboforma, but since it uses a general-purpose FA robot, safety fences are required. By adding a robot travel axis, the robot can move horizontally, enabling measurement of long tubes
